There are so many don’ts when it comes to an empty stomach: drink, read, run, sleep, swim and yes – shop. Somehow, I thought the latter only applied to food. Today’s foraging foray proved otherwise. After two days of grueling back-to-back workouts in pilates-plyometrics togs, I found myself famished for fast-food fashion and landed in junk-in-the-trunk heaven…a McDonald’s of haute couture in SW Portland for one heck of a happy meal at drive-thru prices.
